Athletic Training Services

Athletic Training

People everywhere are on the move. Being physically active is great for your health, but as physical activity increases, so does the risk for injury. That’s why we employ certified athletic trainers (ATCs) who are medical experts in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from physical activity.

Athletic trainers can help athletes avoid unnecessary medical treatment and disruption of normal daily life. If you're injured, they can get you on the mend and keep you on the move. As part of a complete health care team, our certified athletic trainers work with our student athletes, athletic directors, coaches and parents.

Northern’s ATCs get to know each athlete individually, which allows them to treat injuries more effectively.

We have athletic trainers who work directly with athletes in two local high schools. The high schools in Cedar Springs, and Coopersville all enjoy the benefits of having an athletic trainer on site during school athletic events. These athletic trainers work hand in hand with us to provide the best sports medicine care for their athletes. For more information, please contact our Coopersville location at 616.997.6172.
